توفي الجمعة الممثل السوري، توفيق العشا، في مستشفى الأسد الجامعي بالعاصمة السورية، دمشق، عن عمر يناهر 70 عاما بعد معاناة طويلة مع المرض.

واشتُهر العشا بثقل صوته ما دفع المخرجين لاختياره في أدوار الشر. وربما لن تغيب عن ذهن المشاهد العربي مشاركته البارزة في المسلسل السوري الشهير “مرايا”، بالإضافة إلى عدد من الأعمال أهمها “يوميات مدير عام”، و”وضاح اليمن” و”حمام القيشاني” و”الطير” و”المحكوم”.

كما شارك الممثل القدير في أعمال سينمائية، منها “أيام في لندن” و”فتيات حائرات” و”الانتفاضة” و”غابة من الإسمنت” و”أبو عنتر بوند”.

وأدى دور الطائر “ملسون” في برنامج الأطفال “افتح يا سمسم”، حيث كان صوت العشا مميزا ولا يمكن نسيانه، وتكاد لا تخطئه الأذن، كما قدم أعمالا كثيرة للإذاعة والدبلجة في الثمانينيات من القرن الماضي.

يذكر أن توفيق العشا ولد في العاصمة اللبنانية، بيروت، عام 1948.
