قال مسؤول بالبيت الأبيض يوم الأحد إن الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب ونظيره التركي رجب طيب أردوغان ناقشا سبل الرد على مقتل الصحفي السعودي جمال خاشقجي.

وأضاف المسؤول أن المناقشة جرت خلال عشاء يوم السبت مع رؤساء الدول المجتمعين في باريس لإحياء الذكرى المئوية لاتفاق الهدنة الذي أنهى الحرب العالمية الأولى.

وقال أردوغان يوم السبت إن تركيا سلمت حكومات الولايات المتحدة وألمانيا وفرنسا وبريطانيا تسجيلات صوتية متعلقة بمقتل خاشقجي وأضاف أن الأوامر صدرت على ”أعلى المستويات“ بالحكومة السعودية.

وقال ترامب في السابع من نوفمبر تشرين الثاني إنه يتوقع تكوين ”رأي أكثر قوة بكثير“ بحلول الأسبوع المقبل بشأن الرد على مقتل خاشقجي وأضاف أنه يعمل مع الكونجرس وتركيا والسعودية على تحديد من المسؤول عن القتل.
