قرر المكتب التنفيذي للاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، إحالة طلب الاتحاد البحريني لكرة القدم، السماح لأنديته بالمشاركة في الدوري السعودي للمحترفين، إلى الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “فيفا”، بعد استكمال كل الوثائق المطلوبة؛ كي تتوافق مع الإجراءات السابقة.
كان الاتحاد البحريني لكرة القدم قد أعلن عن رغبته في مشاركة نادي المحرق في الدوري السعودي، بعد اقتراح من تركي آل الشيخ رئيس الهيئة العامة للرياضة.
وقال نادي المحرق عبر حسابه الرسمي “اعتمد المكتب التنفيذي للاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، تمرير قرار مشاركة نادي المحرق في الدوري السعودي للموسم المقبل ٢٠١٩/٢٠٢٠؛ تمهيدًا لعرضه على الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (الفيفا) الجهة المختصة باعتماد قرار المشاركة”.
الجدير بالذكر أن المكتب التنفيذي قد عقد اجتماعه اليوم الثلاثاء، في العاصمة العمانية مسقط، قبل يوم واحد من حفل توزيع الجوائز السنوية.
من جهة أخرى، قرر المكتب التنفيذي المصادقة على مقترح تطبيق نظام حكم الفيديو المساعد VAR الذي تقدمت به لجنة للحكام في الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم؛ وذلك اعتبارًا من مباريات الدور ربع النهائي، خلال بطولة كأس آسيا 2019 بالإمارات.
وأكد المكتب التنفيذي في الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، دعمه للاتحاد الفلسطيني للعبة، بعد الانتهاكات الأخيرة التي تَعَرّض لها من قِبَل الجيش الإسرائيلي، واقترح تشكيل فريق عمل من أجل التعامل مع هذا الموقف.
