قال مايك آشلي، مالك نيوكاسل يونايتد، إنه يريد بيع النادي المنتمي للدوري الانجليزي الممتاز لكرة القدم قبل فترة الانتقالات الشتوية الشهر المقبل مشيرا إلى وجود تقدم في مفاوضات البيع.

وأكد آشلي، الذي اشترى حصة الأغلبية في النادي عام 2007، أنه لا يجري مفاوضات خاصة مع أي طرف لكنه أشار إلى أنه في مرحلة متقدمة مقارنة بالسابق.
وتابع «أنا حريص على بيع النادي للشخص المناسب لكي يشعر الجميع بالسعادة».
