افتتحت المنظمة العالمية للصحف وناشري الأنباء (وان-ايفرا) القمّة الإقليمية الأولى لبرنامجها الرائد “النساء في الأخبار” في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، الثلاثاء، في العاصمة اللبنانية بيروت.
وألقت المديرة الإقليمية للبرنامج فاطمة فرج كلمة الافتتاح بحضور أكثر من 100 صحافية من مصر والأردن ولبنان وفلسطين كنّ قد شاركن في البرنامج خلال السنوات الأربعة الفائتة.
ألقى كلمة الترحيب أيضاً كلّ من فينسينت بيراني، المدير التنفيذي لمنظمة وان-ايفرا وميلاني والكر، مديرة تطوير الإعلام في وان-ايفرا، وكان التركيز في كلمات الترحيب على الإنجازات الكبيرة الذي حققها البرنامج في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا منذ انطلاقته في المنطقة عام 2015.
“أنا سعيد أن أكون من أقلية الرجال الموجودين هنا في هذا القاعة، بين حضور يقارب 99% من النساء، ” قال بيراني. وقالت ميلاني: “إن هذا البرنامج بدأ بمشاركة 15 صحافية من 3 بلدان في أفريقيا وهو اليوم منتشر في 12 بلد في العالم وتشارك به أكثر من 100 صحافية سنوياً.”
يحضر هذا المؤتمر إعلاميين وإعلاميات من مؤسسات إعلامية عالمية وتمت استضافتهم كضيوف متحدثين في جلسات متعددة تمتد من يوم الثلاثاء الى يوم الخميس.
قدّمت لورا زالينكو، كبيرة المحررين التنفيذيين في شركة بلومبيرغ الإعلامية، جلسة حول إدارة وسائل الإعلام وكيف استطاعت مؤسستها اعتماد سياسات داخلية تهدف إلى تحقيق التوازن الجندري. تخللت الجلسة العديد من المداخلات التي قدمتها مشاركات البرنامج.
تلت الجلسة الأولى جلسة مع المدربين/ات الوطنيين/ات للبرنامج دلال سعود وفاطمة خير ومحمود عطعوط ولمياء راضي وتلت الجلسة مناقشة وعرض حول موضوع “التحرش الجنسي داخل غرف الأخبار” كانت ضيفتاها كل من الصحافية لمياء راضي، ومديرة الموارد البشرية في Mitt Media كارين أندرسون وتحدثتا عن طرق تبادل الدعم والخبرات المختلفة لتحقيق الإستفادة الأقصى للنساء وكيفية مواجهة الظواهر السلبية داخل غرف الأخبار.
واختتم اليوم الأول من القمة بجلسة تدريبية، قدمها محمد الكوماني، عن جوجل والأدوات المستخدمة من خلال طرح لمبادرة جوجل للأخبار Google News Initiative.
