وفاة المذيعة الأردنية، مديحة المدفعي، أول قارئة لنشرة أخبار على أثير بي بي سي

توفيت في العاصمة البريطانية لندن هذا الأسبوع المذيعة السابقة في بي بي سي مديحة رشيد المدفعي التي كانت أول مذيعة أخبار في هيئة الإذاعة البريطانية.
وقد انهت مديحة دراسة الصحافة والعلوم السياسية في الجامعة الأمريكية في القاهرة عام 1957 وعملت بضعة أشهر في ذلك العام في إذاعة صوت فلسطين التي كانت تبث من القاهرة.
وعملت مديحة في الإذاعة الأردنية قبل انضمامها برفقة زوجها نديم ناصر للقسم العربي في بي بي سي عام 1960.
وكانت مديحة أول صوت نسائي ينطلق من القسم العربي لقراءة نشرات الأخبار حتى قبل أن يسمح للمذيعات بذلك في الخدمة العالمية في بي بي سي بخمسة عشر عاماً.
عملت في بداية مشوارها في برامج المنوعات أو ما كان يسمى وقتها مذيعة ربط.
وكانت قراءة نشرات الأخبار وتقديم البرامج السياسية حكراً على الرجال حتى بدايات العقد السادس من القرن الماضي في كل إذاعات بي بي سي بما في ذلك الاذاعات البريطانية.
ولم يكن من السهل أن تخوض مديحة غمار الأخبار السياسية في الإذاعة. فقد جاء ذلك بعد نقاش طويل مع مديري بي بي سي إذ لم يكن من السهل تجاوز موقفهم المحافظ حينها والذي كان لا يفضل تقديم النساء لنشرات الأخبار والبرامج السياسية.
وقالت الراحلة في حديث لها مع بي بي سي عربي قبل أقل من عامين إن الراحل حسن الكرمي لعب دوراً كبيراً في إقناع المديرين بتغيير موقفهم، إذ أن الجمهور العربي لم يكن يعارض ذلك.
وحققت مديحة نجاحا ملحوظاً وشهرة تضاهي ما حققه زملاؤها الذكور.
وكانت مديحة هي التي قرأت عبر أثير الاذاعة خبر عبور الجيش المصري لقناة السويس في حرب أكتوبر 1973 إذ كانت تقرأ نشرة الأخبار على الهواء حين أعطاها المحرر الانجليزي الخبر على قصاصة من الورقة باللغة الانجليزية.
بعد أن نالت مديحة شهادة الدكتوراه في العلوم السياسية أواسط ثمانينات القرن الماضي عادت وقدمت عدداً من البرامج السياسية الجادة التي لم يكن للجمهور العربي عهد بها مثل برنامج الرأي والرأي الآخر والبرنامج الوثائقي بانوراما.
