منذ احتلال فلسطين وإقامة دولة إسرائيل على أنقاض دولة قائمة وشعب كان يتمتع بكل مقومات السيادة الوطنية، حرصت قيادة العصابات الصهيونية التي أسست النظام على أمل أن يكون نموذجاً جديداً للحضارة الغربية وموطئ قدم لها ولسياستها في المنطقة العربية، حيث استخدمت هذه الإستراتيجية إعلامياً وسياسياً لأكثر من نصف قرن، وقد بذلت قيادة هذه الدولة كل الجهود لتأكيد صوابية خياراتها الداخلية والخارجية واستطاعت بفعل الكثير من العوامل الذاتية والموضوعية أن تعطي نموذجاً في إدارة موارد الدولة الحديثة، فأول رئيس وزراء في حكومة إسرائيل ضرب مثلاً في التقشف والتخلي عن كل المغريات التي كان بإمكانه التمتع بها كرئيس حكومة، وهكذا كانت الطبقة السياسية الحاكمة حتى حقبة التسعينيات التي بدأت تبرز فيها قضايا الفساد على نطاق واسع، خاصة مع وصول أجيال حديثة العهد بالسياسة والتي لا تعتبر من مؤسسي هذه الدولة، فلم تكن ظواهر الفساد المالي والإداري والرشاوى فردية، بل أصبحت متغلغلة بفعل تداخل الحياة السياسة العامة بمصالح الأحزاب السياسية، وبمواقع الدعم والمساندة لكبار أعضاء الحكومة ومسؤولي الأحزاب الذين تربطهم علاقات مصالح متبادلة مع رجال أعمال أو رؤساء نقابات، أو بعض الشخصيات الإعلامية البارزة، فأصبح التأييد الحزبي الأيديولوجي الثابت تأييداً يعتمد على المصالح المؤقتة الآنية، مما أدى لتفكك واختفاء مجموعة كبيرة من الأحزاب التي ظهرت لفترة معينة، واختفت بعد دورة انتخابية واحدة فقط، حتى ان أهم الأحزاب الإسرائيلية الذي أقام هذه الدولة وأسس قواعدها، وهو حزب العمل، اختفى تقريباً عن الخارطة السياسية ولم يعد له وجود الآن. هذا التراجع الواضح في قمة الهرم السياسي والنخبة الحاكمة في إسرائيل أدى لظواهر أخرى شكلت خطورة كبيرة على تماسك هذا المجتمع، فما يحدث الآن بعد ثلاث جولات انتخابية متتالية يظهر بوضوح حالة الارتباك والتخبط التي تعيشها هذه الدولة، فالأزمات الاقتصادية والسياسية والاجتماعية تتراكم بشكل يجعل من الصعوبة بمكان إيجاد الحلول السريعة والصحيحة لها، مما سيضاعف أزمات هذا المجتمع الذي يعاني أصلاً من اختلال في التوازن نتيجة الكثير من الممارسات العنصرية تجاه فئات كبيرة منه، فالاختلال الأفقي والعمودي يظهران بوضوح هشاشة هذا المجتمع وعدم قدرة هذه الدولة على علاج القضايا الداخلية المتشعبة بالأساليب نفسها التي تعالج بها مشكلاتها الخارجية، حيث تساعدها الظروف الدولية والإقليمية بأكثر مما تبذله هي من جهود في هذا المضمار.
