وجهت النيابة العامة في اسطنبول، تهما إلى ستة سعوديين إضافيين يشتبه تورطهم في مقتل الصحفي المعارض، جمال خاشقجي، في تركيا عام 2018، وفق ما ذكرت وسائل إعلام تركية، الاثنين.
وتطالب النيابة بالسجن مدى الحياة لاثنين من المشتبه بهما، ولخمس سنوات للأربعة الآخرين، لدورهم في قتل خاشقجي وتقطيع أوصاله في القنصلية السعودية في اسطنبول في الثاني من أكتوبر 2018.
ولا يتواجد السعوديون الستة الذين صدرت لائحة الاتهام بحقهم قبل أيام قليلة من الذكرى الثانية لاغتيال خاشقجي في تركيا، وبالتالي ستتم محاكمتهم غيابيا.
وبدأ القضاء في اسطنبول في الثالث من يوليو محاكمة 20 سعوديا آخرين غيابيا، بينهم اثنان من المقربين من ولي العهد السعودي، الأمير محمد بن سلمان، هما نائب رئيس الاستخبارات، أحمد العسيري، والمستشار الإعلامي بالديوان الملكي، سعود القحطاني، حيث وجهت إليهم السلطات التركية اتهامات لدورهم المفترض في جريمة القتل.
واغتيل خاشقجي، وهو كاتب في صحيفة “واشنطن بوست” ومنتقد للنظام السعودي، وقطّع جسده في أكتوبر 2018 في القنصلية السعودية في اسطنبول حيث توجّه للحصول على وثائق.
وكان يبلغ من العمر 59 عاما وقت وفاته، ولم يتم العثور على رفاته، وأغرقت هذه الحادثة المملكة العربية السعودية في واحدة من أسوأ أزماتها الدبلوماسية، وأثرت سلبا على صورة ولي العهد الذي أشار مسؤولون أتراك وأميركيون إلى أنه أعطى أوامر القتل.
وبعدما نفت تورّطها في الاغتيال وقدمت روايات عديدة للوقائع، أكدت الرياض أخيرا أن عملية القتل نفّذها عملاء سعوديون تصرّفوا بشكل فردي.
وبعد محاكمة غامضة في السعودية، حكم على خمسة سعوديين بالإعدام في ديسمبر، وعلى ثلاثة آخرين بالسجن بتهمة الاغتيال من إجمالي 11 متّهما، ولم يتم توجيه أي تهم إلى القحطاني كما تمت تبرئة العسيري.
لكن محكمة في الرياض ألغت أحكام الإعدام التي صدرت في أوائل سبتمبر في حكمها النهائي وحكمت على خمسة متهمين بالسجن 20 عاما وثلاثة آخرين لمدد تتراوح بين سبع و10 سنوات.
