في 26/6/2015 حدث التفجير الإرهابي الآثم لمسجد الإمام الصادق (ع) والذي طال غدرا جموع المصلين بصلاة الجمعة، فاهتزت الكويت وارتعدت فزعا وصدمة لهذا المصاب الجلل، وفي يوم مازال ماثلا في ذاكرة الكويت، وما هي إلا دقائق معدودات حتى وصل والد الجميع إلى موقع الحادث بسيارته الخاصة من دون موكب رسمي، ضاربا بكل البروتوكولات الرسمية عرض الحائط على الرغم من التحذيرات الأمنية وخطورة الموقع، ولكن الوالد أبى إلا أن يشارك أبناءه بهذا المصاب الأليم، فاختلطت دموعه الأبوية الخاصة بكلماته الحنونة «هذولا عيالي».
ولم يكتف بهذا، بل أصر على إقامة عزاء موحد في المسجد الكبير ليشترك جميع أفراد الشعب الكويت في هذا العزاء.
ولا يمكن أن انسى كلماته المعبرة التي قالها عند استقبال أهالي شهداء تفجير المسجد «احنا ما نعرف شيعة أو سنة، احنا نعرف اهلنا أهل الكويت»، ليعطي سموه ـ رحمه الله ـ درسا وطنيا نال إعجاب واشادة العالم كله.
نعم، بقلوب يعتصرها الألم والحزن تلقينا خبر وفاة والدنا سمو الأمير الراحل الشيخ صباح الأحمد، طيب الله ثراه، الذي لطالما كان رمزا للتسامح وأفنى جل حياته في خدمة وطنه وأمته حتى استطاع بفضل سياسته الحكيمة أن يخرج الكويت من دائرة الصراعات في المنطقة، ويجعل منها مركزا رئيسيا للمصالحة والحوار ولم الشمل، فلطالما كان يدعو، رحمه الله، لتحقيق السلام ونبذ الحروب، فقد كان هو المبادر الأول لتقديم المساعدات الإنسانية باسم الكويت لمحتاجيها في مشارق الأرض ومغاربها حتى عرفت الكويت ببلد الإنسانية والعطاء.
ولا يمكن أن انسى موقفه الأخير قبل أشهر معدودات عند انتشار جائحة كورونا، حيث أبى سموه إلا أن يأمر بإجلاء جميع المواطنين إلى أرض الوطن، وتم ذلك بعملية إجلاء ضخمة في فترة قياسية ليفرح الجميع لهذا الخبر، شاكرين له هذه العناية السامية.
ولا زلت اتذكر حين كتبت في وقتها مقال «شكرا يا والد الجميع» في جريدة «الأنباء»، وها هو اليوم اكررها وبالقلب حزن وحسرة وبعد أن غادرتنا إلى الباري عز وجل «شكرا يا والد الجميع» على كل ما قدمته لنا وللكويت وللعالم أجمع، نسأل الله العلي القدير له الرحمة والمغفرة.
