الوزيرة الجديدة نجلاء المنقوش عملت محامية في القانون الجنائي وأستاذة جامعية وموظفة سابقة في المجلس الوطني الانتقالي الليبي.
المنقوش حاصلة على شهادة الدكتوراه في إدارة الصراع والسلم والأزمات ما بعد الحروب، وكذلك تخصصت في مجال بناء السلام وتحليل النزاعات.
وقد حصلت المنقوش على درجة ماجستير في القانون الجنائي من جامعة بنغازي، شرق ليبيا، وشهادة الماجستير في إدارة الصراع والسلم من جامعة ايسترن ميني نايت الأمريكية، وتحصلت على الدكتوراه في إدارة الصراع والسلم من جامعة جورج مايسون الأمريكية.
كما حصلت على عدة شهادات تقدير، وكذلك منح دراسية للتميز الدراسي، منها منحة الحكومة الأمريكية للتميز الأكاديمي.
ولدت وعاشت المنقوش في مدينة بنغازي، شرق ليبيا، غير أن أصولها تعود لمدينة مصراتة في الغرب الليبي.
الظهور الإعلامي
بوصفها ناشطة في المجتمع المدني، كانت للمنقوش مشاركات إعلامية لمناقشة ما يخص المشهد الليبي.
وفي مقطع يعود للعام 2011، ذكرت المنقوش، التي كانت ترتدي الحجاب في ذلك الوقت، أنها عملت كناشطة إعلامية لتغطية أحداث ثورة 17 فبراير في مدينة بنغازي، وحاولت التواصل مع وسائل الإعلام الأجنبية لنقل ما يحصل في المدينة.
