Samain was awarded the title of Peacemaker/Peace Leader for the year 2023 by the Peace Culture Unit of the American World Peace Foundation, and chosen as Honorary President of the “Global Women’s Award Academy” organization 2022, due to her non-stop dedication and commitment in pursuing and promoting peace and harmony through her journalism path.

Samain is an effective local and international speaker on the topic related to spreading the culture of peace, peace journalism, combating extremism, violence, hatred, and combating terrorism. She started her career as reporter/writer for Jordan Times daily in 2005, and ever since she has given special attention to highlighting Jordan’s role in the subject of interfaith dialogue in English language to foreign communities inside Jordan and the world, thus considered the first journalist in Jordan and the Middle East specialized in this field.

Samain has several publications and authored several books mainly her Fortress of Peace: Jordan’s Interfaith Drive and Model of Coexistence, still considered a best-selling book since 2017. The book is a summary of Samain’s career as a journalist who specialized in this field for more than a decade. Fortress of Peace” was chosen by the Jordanian Ministry of Culture to be among the centenary books of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for the year 2022.

She is a member of several committees including: The Arab Thought Forum, the committee for the Ministry of Culture choosing Jordanian Cities of Culture for the year 2023, the Habib Al-Zyoud Literary Award for the year 2022, the Program to Deliver the Centennial Message to the World in 2021, and the Media Committee for the Centennial of the Hashemite University, 2021.

She was the first female editor-in-chief of the Orthodox Club newsletter for five years. She also worked as a part-time lecturer in a number of universities in the capital Amman before devoting herself

to writing her first book, Fortress of Peace.

Samain is a holder of a Master’s degree in Education/ Special education, and Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Political Science.
