كشف الإعلامي القطري جابر الحرمي، الثلاثاء،عن عزم رئيس الجمهورية العراقي برهم صالح، تدشين خط ملاحي مع قطر، خلال زيارته المزمعه  اجراؤها الخميس (10 كانون الثاني 2019).

وذكر الحرمي، في تغريدة له على حسابه الرسمي بموقع “تويتر”، أن زيارة الرئيس العراقي “سيتخللها الإعلان عن خط ملاحي جديد بين ميناء حمد في قطر وأم قصر العراقي، والذي سيساهم في نقل بضائع كل من الأردن والكويت وتركيا وإيران عبر الأراضي العراقية إلى قطر”.

ومنذ تسلمه منصب رئيس الجمهورية في الثاني من أكتوبر 2018، قام برهم صالح بزيارات رسمية إلى كل من السعودية وإيران والكويت والأردن والإمارات، فضلاً عن إيطاليا وتركيا.وقام محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني، وزير الخارجية القطري، بزيارة إلى بغداد، في مايو من العام 2018.وخلال الزيارة تم الاعلان عن إعادة فتح السفارة القطرية في العراق قريباً، لكن دون تحديد موعد لذلك.
