نحن في الجزيرة العربية أمة بحرية، عرفنا البحر وخبرناه وبرعنا في ركوبه مثلما عرفنا الصحراء وسيطرنا عليها وزرعنا واحاتها، وأجرينا المياه في أفلاجها تحت الأرض، وقطعنا مفازاتها بعد ان تمكنا من استئناس الجمل، وشيدنا مدائنها التاريخية.

هذه النظرة الغالبة لدى عموم الشعوب العربية «قناعة راسخة» لن تغيرها الحقائق الساطعات.
فنحن، رغم الماضي المرصود، والحاضر المشهود، والمستقبل الموعود، مجرد بداة يملكون النفط (!) لهذا يسهل على الجميع توجيه الغمز واللمز لنا والسعي إلى الإساءة لنا بعنصرية فجة. والأدبيات العربية والتصريحات والشواهد والمشاهدات تعج بالأمثلة.
ومؤخرا، في عصر اليوتيوب شاهدنا الأفراح والليالي الملاح التي لا يتم فيها الفرح والسرور دون توجيه الشتائم للدول الخليجية.
