ويأتي تصويت اليوم بعد نحو أسبوع من الانتخابات العامة التي شهدت تحقيق حزب المحافظين فوزا كبيرا.

وكانت أغلبية الناخبين قد صوتت في استفتاء عام 2016 لصالح خروج بريطانيا من الاتحاد الأوروبي إلا أن الأعوام الثلاثة اللاحقة شهدت الكثير من النقاش السياسي حول آلية الخروج.
