صحيفة أميركية: نيويورك باتت الآن عاصمة كورونا في العالم

ذكرت صحيفة أميركية أن نيويورك باتت الآن عاصمة كورونا في العالم، إذ إنها تتقدم على جميع دول العالم من حيث عدد الإصابات بالفيروس.

وقالت صحيفة “نيويورك بوست”، إنه حتى الخميس، سجلت الولاية 159 ألفا و937 إصابة مؤكدة، بزيادة أكثر من 10 آلاف حالة عن اليوم السابق.

وأوضحت أن حصيلة الوفيات بالولاية وحدها بلغت أيضا 7 آلاف و67، بعد تسجيل 799 حالة وفاة في يوم واحد.

وبحسب الصحيفة، فإن الإصابات بكورونا في نيويورك تجاوزت مثيلاتها في أي دولة أخرى، حيث تأتي بعد إسبانيا وإيطاليا بواقع 152,446، و139,422 على التوالي، بحسب أحدث الإحصاءات لجامعة ”جونز هوبكينز“ الأمريكية.

وارتفع عدد وفيات فيروس كورونا في الولايات المتحدة، الخميس، إلى نحو 15 ألفا، إثر تسجيل 1890 وفاة جديدة.

ويتزايد عدد الإصابات والوفيات يوميًا في الولايات المتحدة، التي باتت تتصدر قائمة الدول الأكثر تأثرا بجائحة كورونا. ووفقا لأحدث البيانات التي نشرتها جامعة “جونز هوبكينز”، الخميس، فإن عدد الإصابات وصل 432 ألفا و438، بعد تسجيل 32 ألفا و509 إصابات خلال الـ24 ساعة الأخيرة.

فيما ارتفع عدد الوفيات إلى 14 ألفا و808، إثر وفاة 1890 شخصا، خلال الـ24 ساعة الأخيرة، بحسب المصدر ذاته.
