الإدارة الأمريكية تحقق بمدى تخليق فيروس كورونا في مختبر أبحاث في ووهان بالصين وليس من الخفافيش

تعتقد الإدارة الأمريكية بقوة، بأن نواة فيروس كورونا المستجد تم تخليقها وتسريبها من محتبر لمعمل أبحاث في مدينة ووهان بالصين وليس كما يتردد من الخفافيش بشكل طبيعي.

وفي تصريحات للرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب، أعلن بأن إدارته تحاول تحديد ما إذا كان فيروس كورونا والذي أطلق عليه “الفيروس الصيني” قد خرج من المعمل الصيني في ووهان الصينية، في حين شدد وزير الخارجية مايك بومبيو من إنه ينبغي لبكين الإفصاح عما تعلمه.

ولا يزال مصدر الفيروس غامضا. وكان رئيس هيئة الأركان الأميركية المشتركة الجنرال مارك ميلي قد قال يوم الثلاثاء إن المخابرات الأميركية تشير إلى أن الفيروس نشأ على الأرجح بشكل طبيعي ولم يتم تخليقه في معمل بالصين، لكن لا يوجد ما يؤكد أي من الاحتمالين.

وذكرت محطة فوكس نيوز التلفزيونية يوم الأربعاء أن الفيروس نشأ في معمل في ووهان، ليس كسلاح بيولوجي وإنما كجزء من سعي الصين لإظهار أن جهودها لرصد ومكافحة الفيروسات تكافئ أو تفوق قدرات الولايات المتحدة.

وأشار هذا التقرير وتقارير أخرى إلى أن ضعف معايير السلامة في المعمل الذي تتم فيه التجارب المتعلقة بالفيروسات في ووهان تسبب في إصابة شخص ما بالعدوى وظهورها في سوق حيث بدأ الفيروس الانتشار.

وسئل ترامب في مؤتمر صحفي في البيت الأبيض عن التقارير عن تسرب الفيروس من معمل ووهان فقال إنه على علم بتلك التقارير.

وأضاف “نحن نجري تحقيقا شاملا بشأن الوضع المروع الذي حدث”.

وكان معهد ووهان لعلم الفيروسات المدعوم من الدولة قد نفى في فبراير شائعات عن أن الفيروس ربما تم تخليقه في أحد معامله أو أنه تسرب من أحد المعامل.

وقال بومبيو في مقابلة مع فوكس نيوز بعد مؤتمر ترامب الصحفي “نعلم أن هذا الفيروس قد نشأ في ووهان بالصين” ومعهد علم الفيروسات على بعد بضعة أميال من السوق.

وأضاف “نريد من الحكومة الصينية أن تتحلى بالوضوح” وتساعد في تفسير “دقيق لكيفية انتشار الفيروس.” وقال “ينبغي للحكومة الصينة أن تعترف.”

ويشير التوافق العلمي الواسع إلى أن فيروس كورونا قد نشأ في الخفافيش.
