محتالو بيتكوين سرقوا 24 مليون دولار في الأشهر الستة الأولى لعام 2020

سرق المحتالون نحو 24 مليون دولار في عملة بيتكوين الرقمية في الأشهر الستة الأولى من عام 2020، وذلك وفقًا للتقارير.

ويعمل روبوت الدردشة الكتابية (Whale Alert) عبر منصة تويتر، الذي يتتبع المعاملات الكبيرة للعملات المشفرة مثل بيتكوين، مع خدمة التنبيه من الغش (Scam Alert) لإصدار التقرير المسمى “الإبلاغ عن الجرائم وتتبعها وتحليلها”.

وتتحقق بيتكوين، باعتبارها عملة رقمية مشفرة، من كل معاملة، مما يعني أنه يمكن تتبع أي استخدام وتبادل للبيتكوين.

وأظهر التحليل الأولي أن نحو 38 مليون دولار قد سُرقت على مدى السنوات الأربع الماضية – باستثناء مخططات بونزي Ponzi schemes، التي تعد صناعة بمليار دولار بمفردها – من خلال عملة بيتكوين وحدها، منها 24 مليون دولار في الأشهر الستة الأولى من عام 2020.

وأشار (Whale Alert) إلى أن بعض أكثر عمليات الاحتيال نجاحًا قد حققت أكثر من 130 ألف دولار في يوم واحد من خلال موقع ويب مكون من صفحة واحدة وعنوان بيتكوين وكمية مناسبة من إعلانات يوتيوب.

فيما تمكنت عملية أخرى من الحصول على أكثر من 1.5 مليون دولار أمريكي على مدار 6 أشهر عبر الترويج لبورصة مزيفة مع موقع ويب بسيط مليء بالأخطاء الإملائية.

وسلطت خدمة التتبع الضوء على عدد قليل من العمليات الأكثر نجاحًا، من ضمنها (The Giveaway)، التي تتميز بشخصية شهيرة، مثل (إيلون ماسك) Elon Musk، بحيث يمكن أن يصل صافي ربحها إلى نحو 300 ألف دولار بالاعتماد على المهارة والجهد المبذولين من قبل المحتالين.

ويشير التغيير في الأسلوب وزيادة الجودة والحجم إلى أن الفرق المحترفة بأكملها تقف الآن وراء بعض أنجح العمليات، وأنها مجرد مسألة وقت فقط قبل أن تبدأ باستخدام (التزييف العميق) Deepfakes، وهي تقنية من شأنها أن تحدث ثورة في سوق احتيال.

وقال التقرير: هناك العشرات من أنواع الحيل المختلفة، مثل الهبات والابتزاز والبورصات الوهمية والطرح الأولي للعملة المزور واسترداد البيتكوين وعمليات احتيال الفيديو والبرامج الضارة، لكن هناك شيء واحد مشترك بين كل هذه الحيل يتمثل في عدم وجود خطر تقريبًا بالنسبة للمجرمين أثناء تدمير حياة الضحايا.

وبصفتها البوابة بين العملات الورقية والعملات المشفرة، يجب أن تعمل منصات التبادل والبورصات على تثقيف الوافدين الجدد فيما يتعلق بأخطار تقنية البلوك تشين ومنعهم من إرسال أي شيء إلى عناوين خداع معروفة أو مشتبه بها.

ويتوقع روبوت الدردشة الكتابية (Whale Alert) زيادة تصل إلى 50 مليون دولار في الإيرادات للمحتالين بحلول نهاية العام، حيث يتميز سوق الاحتيال بالأرباح العالية بدون ضرائب مقتطعة، إلى جانب بذل جهد ضئيل وبدون مخاطر.
