مجلس النواب الأميركي يصوت لصالح قانون يلغي قرار حظر السفر على مواطني 7 دول

مرّر مجلس النواب الأميركي، الأربعاء، مشروع قانون ينهي حظر السفر على مواطني 7 دول، معظمها ذات غالبية مسلمة، كان قد أقره الرئيس دونالد ترامب في وقت سابق.

وجاء تمرير مشروع القانون، الذي يدعمه الديمقراطيون في المجلس، خلال تصويت شهدته جمعيته العامة، وذلك بموافقة 233 نائبًا على إلغاء قرار ترامب السابق، مقابل رفض 183.

ويتضمن مشروع القانون، الذي تقوده النائبة جودي تشو، لغة تهدف إلى كبح قدرة الرئيس على فرض قيود على السفر على المواطنين من دول أخرى وحظر التمييز الديني على القرارات المتعلقة بالمهاجرين.

ويجادل أنصار التشريع بأنها خطوة ضرورية لإلغاء السياسات التي يعتبرونها تمييزية وعنصرية وغير دستورية.

وينص مشروع القانون على أنه يتعين على البيت الأبيض، ووزارتي الخارجية، والأمن الداخلي، التشاور مع الكونغرس مسبقًا قبل فرض أية قيود على السفر للولايات المتحدة، وإلا فإن أي قرار يصدر دون مراعاة ذلك سيكون “باطلًا”.

وبموجب مشروع القانون، سيكون من حق الأشخاص المتضررين من حظر السفر الذي فرضته الإدارة الأميركية رفع قضايا أمام المحاكم الفيدرالية.

وفي حال موافقة مجلس الشيوخ، الغرفة الثانية من الكونغرس، سيقدم للرئيس ترامب للموافقة عليه ليصبح قانونًا نافذًا.

وبحسب الحظر الحالي الذي وقعه ترامب قبل عامين، فقد تم إغلاق الحدود الأميركية أمام مواطني سبع دول، معظمها ذات غالبية مسلمة.

ويمنع القرار دخول مواطني ليبيا وإيران والصومال وسورية واليمن وكوريا الشمالية وفنزويلا إلى الولايات المتحدة بأية طريقة، سواء عبر الجو أو البحر، أو من خلال الحدود البرية.
