قبرص ومصر تبرمان اتفاقا للربط الكهربائي

نيقوسيا – أبرمت مصر وقبرص اليوم السبت اتفاقا للربط الكهربائي بين البلدين.
ووقع وزيرا الطاقة في البلدين مذكرة تفاهم لتحديد إطار التعاون من التخطيط إلى التطبيق.
وقالت وزيرة الطاقة القبرصية ناتاشا بيليدس في أثناء مراسم التوقيع مع نظيرها وزير الكهرباء والطاقة المصري محمد شاكر “بالنسبة لقبرص، ينطوي الربط الكهربائي مع مصر، أحد أهم حلفائنا الاستراتيجيين في المنطقة، على إمكانية أن يصبح حجر زاوية لجهودنا في التحول نحو اقتصاد أخضر”.
وأضافت “تقوية شبكاتنا الكهربائية والسماح بمزيد من التكامل في مجال الطاقة المتجددة بالبلدين، وتحسين أمن إمدادات الطاقة لدينا والتمكن من أن نصبح مصدرين للطاقة، هي مجرد جزء يسير من الفوائد الملموسة”.
وأبرمت مصر واليونان في الأسبوع الماضي اتفاقا مماثلا يهيئ المجال لمد كابل تحت المياه لنقل الكهرباء المتولدة من مصادر طاقة نظيفة من شمال أفريقيا إلى أوروبا، وهي البنية التحتية الأولى من نوعها في منطقة البحر المتوسط.
