يؤدي الغالبية شعائرهم الدينية غالباً من دون كبير اكتراث بما حولهم وبمتطلبات البيئة والمحافظة على الثروات الطبيعية، وغيرها من تعقيدات العصر الحديث، ولا يلامون على ذلك، لاعتقاد السواد الأعظم أن المهم هو أداء الشعائر والفرائض، وغير ذلك لا يعني الكثير.

وقلت له إن من الضروري الخروج إلى مجالات خير أرحب وأكثر منفعة، كالاهتمام بالبيئة. فكميات المياه التي تهدر مثلاً في آلاف المساجد والمدارس والمصالح الحكومية، أمر لا يمكن السكوت عنه. وكيف أن بالإمكان توفير أكثر من %70 من هدر المياه في هذه الأماكن من خلال تركيب حنفيات تعمل بالاستشعار، وهو مشروع لن يكلف الكثير مقارنة بفوائده العظيمة.
