وضعت أنثى طائر القطرس ذات الظهر القاتم والملقبة بـ “الحكيمة”، التي تعد من أقدم الطيور في العالم، بيضة أخرى في جزيرة ميدواي في المحيط الهادئ.

وذكرت صحيفة “نيويورك بوست” أن “الحكيمة”، تبلغ من العمر 68 عاما على الأقل. وقد أمسك بها عالم الطيور الأمريكي، تشاندلر روبنز، عام 1956، ووضع لها حلقة معلومات على ساقها.

وفي ذلك الوقت، كان عمر الطائر 10 سنوات على الأقل، ووضعت خلال حياتها حوالي أربعين بيضة.

وذكر في نشرة جمعية حماية الأسماك والحياة البرية الأمريكية، أن “الحكيمة” وذكرها “آكيكاماي”، يعودان كل سنة إلى عشهما في ميدواي.

ولا تضع طيور القطرس بيوضها عادة كل عام، لكن هذين الزوجين يلتقيان كل عام في ميدواي، منذ عام 2006 لوضع البيض وحضانته.
