توفي المفكر السوري، طيب تيزيني، أمس الأول، في مسقط رأسه ومدينته حمص، بعد صراع مع المرض، عن عمر ناهز 85 عاما.
وإضافة إلى أسرته، نعى عدد من المثقفين السوريين طيب تيزيني الذي يوصف بأنه «أحد كبار المثقفين والمفكرين العرب في العصر الحديث»، والذي سبق أن تم اختياره واحداً من أهم مئة فيلسوف عالمي، حسب تصنيف مؤسسة كونكورديا الفلسفية الألمانية الفرنسية عام 1998.
كان إلى جانب جلال العظم، وأحمد برقاوي، ويوسف سلامة، من أساتذة قسم الفلسفة في جامعة دمشق.
وكان كثير من مؤلفاته عبارة عن مشاريع فكرية لا تقف عند كتاب واحد بل تصدر في سلسلة ضمن المحور ذاته.
ولد التيزيني (التسمية المتداولة لطيب تيزيني في سوريا) في مدينة حمص عام 1934.
حصل على درجة الدكتوراه من ألمانيا عام 1967. (أطروحة «تمهيد في الفلسفة العربية الوسيطة»).
ثم حصل على الدكتوراه في العلوم الفلسفية عام 1973.
نشر عام 1971 كتابة الأول باللغة العربية «مشروع رؤية جديدة للفكر العربي في العصر الوسيط».
ومن أبرز مؤلفاته: «الفكر العربي في بواكيره وآفاقه الأولى». «مقدمات أولية في الإسلام المحمدي الباكر» (ستة أجزاء). «من التراث إلى الثورة – حول نظرية مقترحة في التراث العربي» 1976. «مشروع رؤية جديدة للفكر العربي منذ بداياته حتى المرحلة المعاصرة» (12 جزءا) 1982. «الفكر العربي في بواكيره وآفاقه الأولى، مشروع رؤية جديدة للفكر» 1982. «من يهوه إلى الله» مشروع رؤية جديدة للفكر العربي» 1985. «دراسات في الفكر الفلسفي في الشرق القديم» 1988. «فصول في الفكر السياسي العربي» 1989. «من الاستشراق الغربي إلى الاستغراب المغربي – بحث في القراءة الجابرية للفكر العربي وفي آفاقها التاريخية» 1996. «من ثلاثية الفساد إلى قضايا المجتمع المدني» 2001. «من اللاهوت إلى الفلسـفة العربية الوسيطة» 2005.
