تحالف “فايزر” يتجه لطلب التصريح لجرعة 3 من لقاحه المضاد للفيروس

يتّجه تحالف فايزر/بايونتيك “خلال الأسابيع المقبلة” لطلب تصريح من أجل إعطاء جرعة ثالثة من لقاحه المضادّ لكورونا، في الولايات المتحدة وأوروبا خصوصاً، وفق ما أعلنت الشركتان في بيان.

وتهدف هذه الجرعة إلى توفير حماية مناعيّة معزّزة للأشخاص الذين تلقّوا الجرعتَين الأوليين.

وقالت الشركتان إنّ “فايزر وبايونتيك لاحظتا أنّ هناك نتائج مشجّعة للتجارب الجارية على جرعة ثالثة من اللقاح الحالي”. وأضافتا أنّهما تتّجهان “لتقديم هذه البيانات إلى إدارة الغذاء والدواء الأميركية ووكالة الأدوية الأوروبية وسواهما من السلطات التنظيميّة في الأسابيع المقبلة”.

وتابع بيان الشركتين “تُظهر البيانات الأولية للدراسة أنّ جرعة تحصين تُعطى بعد 6 أشهر على الجرعة الثانية” توفّر “مستويات عالية من الأجسام المضادّة” للفيروس، بما في ذلك ضدّ المتحوّرة “بيتا” التي ظهرت في جنوب إفريقيا. وهذه المستويات “أعلى بنسبة 5 إلى 10 مرّات” من تلك التي شوهدت بعد تلقّي الجرعتين الأوليين.

وأشارت الشركتان إلى أنّ نتائج هذه الدراسة ستُنشر في مجلة علميّة.

كما لفتتا إلى أنّ لقاحهما أظهر نتائج جيّدة في المختبر ضدّ المتحوّرة “دلتا”، وبالتالي فإنّ جرعة ثالثة ستكون قادرة على تعزيز المناعة ضدّ هذه المتحوّرة أيضاً. وقالتا إنّ هناك اختبارات جارية “لتأكيد هذه الفرضيّة”.

وتابعت الشركتان “لهذا السبب قُلنا، ونُواصل الاعتقاد بأنّه من المحتمل، بناءً على جميع البيانات المتوافرة لدينا حالياً، أنّ جرعة ثالثة قد تكون مطلوبة بعد ما بين 6 و12 شهرا على تلقي التطعيم”.

من جهتهما أصدرت إدارة الغذاء والدواء الأميركية “إف دي إيه”، ومراكز الوقاية من الأمراض ومكافحتها “سي دي سي”، بياناً مشتركاً مساء الخميس، قالتا فيه إنهما تدرسان ما إذا كانت “هناك حاجة أم لا” لجرعة ثالثة من اللقاح.

وأضافتا أنّ “الأميركيين الذين تلقوا التطعيم بالكامل لا يحتاجون إلى جرعة معزّزة (ثالثة) في الوقت الحالي. نحن على استعداد لإعطاء جرعات معززة، في حال وعندما يُظهر العلم أنّ هناك حاجة إليها”.
