بنك ناتست البريطاني يستبدل الأرقام السرية ببصمة الأصبح في بطاقات السحب الآلي

سيستغني عملاء بنك ناتست البريطاني عن حفظ الأرقام السرية لبطاقات الدفع عندما يبدأ البنك بتعميم مشروع البطاقة التي تستخدم بصمة الأصبع.

وسيجرب البنك في أبريل/نيسان المقبل بطاقات تحتوي على ذاكرة تخزن بصمة الأصبع، حيث يدخل البائع البطاقة في جهاز يقرأ البصمة المخزنة ويطلب من المشتري وضع بصمته للمطابقة بدل كلمة السر المستخدمة سابقا.

وستضم التجربة مئتي عميل يسمح لهم بسحب مبالغ غير محددة لإجراء عمليات شراء عن طريق استخدام البطاقة واختبار مدى الأمان للعمليات التي تُجرى.

وتخزن بيانات بصمة الإصبع على البطاقة، مما يعني عدم وجود معلومات أمنية حتى يتمكن أحد القراصنة من سرقة قاعدة البيانات المركزية للبنك، وهو ما يعد أكثر أمانا من الرقم السري الذي يمكن لشخص ما حفظه بمجرد النظر إليه عند إدخاله.

وتتبنى العديد من البنوك عمليات مصادقة الهوية البيومترية في خدماتها للعملاء، فقد أجرت شركة “جيمالتو” -الشركة المسؤولة عن تكنولوجيا هذه البطاقات- تجربة في جنوب أفريقيا عام 2017، ومع بنك “سان إنتو” إيطالي في العام الماضي.

ويتطلب إصدار البطاقات زيارة أحد المصارف من قبل العميل بدلا من القيام بذلك عن طريق الإنترنت، وتأمل الشركة أن تسمح الإصدارات المستقبلية من النظام للعملاء باستخدام هواتفهم الخاصة لتسجيل بصمتهم.

وبهذا سيتوقف العملاء عن حمل بطاقات عدة داخل محافظهم، وحفظ أرقام سرية عدة لاستخدام هذه البطاقات.
